If you are heading to Norfolk this half term then there are lots of fabulous things to do for young and old. Here is our selection of the best!

The Real Halloween at Bradmoor Woods, West Acre, 29 & 30 Oct

Wannabe witches and wizards whizz over to the woods for a spellbinding day organised by Fairyland Trust. The spooky workshops, games and entertainment include real broomstick making, wizard and witch training, and (plastic-free) fancy dress. Story time at dusk will be followed by a candlelit parade of animal lanterns through the woodland.

Poisons & Potions at Pensthorpe, 22 to 30 Oct

Venture into the depths of the park and find all the magic bottles which contain potions and poisons. There’ll also be pumpkin carving, spooky crafts and devilishly tasty treats in the cafe.

The Monster Club at Norfolk Showground, 24-27 Oct

Grab your little devils (aged 2+) for this big top Halloween show featuring a fang-tastic fusion of live music, dance, circus, comedy and panto, plus a fancy dress competition. There’s lots for adults to enjoy, including a special trip to Hawkins for Stranger Things fans. A licensed bar, food and tabled seating is also available.

The Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade at Bewilderwood, 15-31 Oct

We are so lucky to have Bewilderwood in Norfolk and this is a wonderful time to experience the enchanted woods at twinkly twilight as all the inhabitants come out for this special illuminated parade. Craft your own lantern to guide your journey along mysterious woodland paths

Haunted Deepdale – The Ghosthunter’s Mark! at Dalegate Market, 26-30 Oct

A promenade performance for adults & children aged 8+* using storytelling, sound and the great outside to tell stories of myths and ghosts of Norfolk.

Pumpkin House at Thursford, 15 & 16, 22-30 Oct

Owners of Brookhill Farm have once more built an amazing wooden pumpkin house bursting with over 1,000 pumpkins! Choose your pumpkin direct from the shelf then explore the hay bale towers and maze. Pose by a pumpkin totem pole, admire the vintage machinery, and visit the pop-up cafe and Halloween Haven (stocked with decorations and fancy dress costumes).

Ascarium: Tricks & Treats at Sea Life Hunstanton, 15-31 Oct

There are fabulous magical challenges with the sea witch at the aquarium!

Magic of Autumn at Holkham, 22-30 Oct

Celebrate the beauty of Autumn at Holkham. There’s lots to do in the park, walled garden, Holkham Stories Experience, and the hall. Pedal through the park, swing from the treetops, take a deer and wildlife safari, watch birds of prey take to the skies, explore a nature trail, or check out the pumpkin carving, arts and crafts and story time activities.

Walk around Sheringham Park as darkness descends. Tawny Owls hoot, deer come out of hiding and the stars can be spectacular on this family friendly walk.
