February 14, 2020

Half term holidays have come around in a flash, which has us all of a sudden thinking of how to keep the children occupied to avoid the dreaded holiday boredom!
At this stage of the game the most popular activities are booked up, and if you're a fellow busy mummy, you won't have had a chance to book in advance. There are plenty of things to do across Norfolk and Suffolk though, and to save you time we've listed them below.

Doodle Pots, Holt

Get creative together at this quirky pottery painting studio in Holt. Their studio assistants will take you through how the paints work and give you helpful tips on how to create your masterpiece. You can book a session or if you find yourself in Holt with a few hours spare, why not see if they have walk in availability.

Wroxham Barns, Wroxham

There's lots on at Wroxham Barns between 15th & 23rd February for half term! You can meet their pregnant ewes and hopefully see a live birth. There are also guinea pigs to cuddle, ponies to groom and crafts to join in with. They also have two new additions by the names Ant and Dec, very fluffy and cute alpacas!

Seal Spotting & Hot Chocolate, Horsey Beach

There are still a few more weeks of winter seal spotting on the beautiful Norfolk coast at Horsey. Go for a long walk, see the seals (maybe even a few seal pups if you're lucky!), then head to Coast Kitchen café at Waxham for a warm up hot chocolate and brownie!

Thornham Walks, Eye

See the snowdrops at Thornham Walks, stretching over 12 miles of beautiful parkland and ancient woodland on the Thornham Estate. A great place to meet friends, walk the dogs and enjoy a slice of cake at the Forge Tea Rooms.

Sidings Bakery & Café, Melton Constable

Just a stones throw from Burnham Market, Wells and Cley, make a pit stop at Sidings café for breakfast with your little or big ones before heading to the coast. Scrumptious croissants and coffee will keep you going for the morning! You can also take home their lovely bread baked on site.
